SASSA Payment Dates June 2026

SASSA pays permanent grants over three consecutive days every month. 

Here are the official June 2026 payment dates:

Older Persons Grant (60+): Monday 1 June 2026

Disability Grant: Tuesday 2 June 2026

Children's Grants: Wednesday 3 June 2026

SRD R370 Grant: 24 to 30 June 2026

SASSA Grant Amounts 2026

All permanent grants received increases of 3.5% from 1 April 2026:

Older Persons Grant (60-74): R2,400 per month

Older Persons Grant (75+): R2,420 per month

Disability Grant: R2,400 per month

Child Support Grant: R580 per month

Care Dependency Grant: R2,400 per month

Foster Child Grant: R1,290 per month

Grant-in-Aid: R580 per month

SRD R370 Grant: R370 per month (unchanged)

How to Check Your SASSA SRD Status

There are 5 official ways to check your SASSA SRD R370 status:

1. Online: Visit srd.sassa.gov.za and enter your ID and phone number

2. WhatsApp: Send "Hi" to 082 054 0016

3. USSD: Dial *134*7737# — no data needed

4. Call: 0800 60 10 11 — free from any network

5. Visit: Your nearest SASSA office

How to Appeal a Declined SASSA Grant

If your SRD grant was declined you have 90 days to appeal for free. 

Over 1.2 million South Africans were declined in early 2026 — many 

wrongly. A successful appeal means back-pay for every declined month.

How to appeal in 3 steps:

1. Go to srd.sassa.gov.za/appeals/appeal

2. Enter your ID and phone number and verify with OTP

3. Select the declined month and submit your reason and documents
